In 2021, there were 22 heavy precipitation events in the whole city, 4 more than the average in many years and 3 more than that in 2020.Heavy precipitation mainly occurred from June 16 to July 19 and From August 6 to September 19.The year of 2021 was the year with the heaviest average intensity since 2008.Event 2: The first regional high temperature was the first regional high temperature process in 32 years. There were 8 regional high temperature processes in the whole city. The first regional high temperature process occurred on May 1-2 and lasted for 2 days, which was the earliest regional high temperature process since 1989.The average precipitation in August was 311 mm, 1.1 times more than that in the same period of the year (144.8 mm) and nearly 5 times more than that in the same period of last year (52.7 mm), ranking the second in the same period of history since 1961, second only to 1998.Precipitation in all districts and counties of The city was more than that in the same period of the previous year, and precipitation in Hechuan, Wulong, Kaizhou, Zhongxian, Fengdu, Wanzhou, Wuxi, Chengkou, Shizhu and other places in August exceeded the historical extreme value of the same period.During the National Day, 26 districts and counties of the city had high temperature weather above 35℃, and the number of high temperature days ranked the first in the history of the same period, of which 25 districts and counties had daily maximum temperature exceeding the local historical extreme value of the same period.The city’s extreme highest temperature was 38.2℃, which occurred in Jiangjin on October 3, 2021, breaking the city’s record of the highest temperature during the National Day.Five days before the National Day, the average temperature of the city was 27.5℃, ranking first in history.From August 25 to 30, a regional rainstorm occurred in Chongqing, with the intensity level reaching extremely heavy.The storm lasted 126 hours, making it the longest regional rainstorm since 2008.The rainstorm affected 34 districts and counties, making it the most extensive regional rainstorm process since 2008.Event six: “5.2” local wind broke the historical extreme value on May 2-3, hechuan, Nanchuan, Wansheng, Qijiang, Wulong, Beibei, Jiangjin, Banan, Yubei and other 24 districts and counties 123 observation stations appeared 8 or more gusty winds.The wind speed of Hechuan Xianglong was 34.2 m/s, up to level 12, and the wind speed of Nanchuan Shuijiang was 29.4 m/s, up to level 11, which both broke the extreme value since local meteorological records began.The autumn rain in West China began on August 23, 16 days earlier than usual, lasting 99 days and 32 days longer than usual.
